Format: Championship: 5-SS, G100+30s (2 day schedule round 1 G90 d/5 not FIDE Rated); Reserve, Scholastic sections: 5-SS, G120, d/5 (2 day schedule round 1 G/90, d/5.

Sections 

(players must compete in their own sections)


Championship: Players above 2000 must play in the Championship section.

Reserve: Open to 1999 and below.

Scholastic: Open to scholastic players with a rating under 1200.

Prizes
Championship: $2000-$1000-$600-$300; U2200: $500- $250 Trophy to top Georgia Resident

Reserve: $550-$250-$150; U1800 $550-$250-$150; U1600 $450-$200-$100; U1400 $400-$200-$100 Trophy to top Georgia resident. (Max 150 players)

Scholastic: Trophies top three U1200, U1000, U800, U600. (Max. 80 players)

Prizes payable via check or PayPal. Checks will be mailed to the winners within 48 hours.

Entry Fee: $50 for Unrated and $30 for Scholastic. $95 for Championship and Reserve if received by April 30th. $10 more on-site. 

Free to GMs and IMs, $60 taken from winnings. 

Unrated: $50, can win 100% Championship and $200 in lower sections. 

Re-entry: $40. No re-entry in Championship Section. Cash or credit only at site. On-line entry at http://www.georgiachess.org. No online entry after April 30th.

Registration: On-site registration: 5:30-7 pm on May 2 or 8:30-9:30 am on May 3 or online by April 30th.

Rounds: 3 Day Schedule: 7:30 pm on May 2, 2 pm and 7:30 pm on May 3, 10 am and 4pm on May 4.

2 Day Schedule: 10 am, 2 pm and 7:30 pm on May 3, 10 am and 4pm on May 4. 

Half point byes upon request - limit one. Byes must be requested before 1st round. 5th round byes are zero points.

Please note: GCA membership required for Georgia
residents. USCF membership required for all. Please bring clocks.

Lodging: The Atlanta Marriott Northwest at Galleria, 200 Interstate N Pkwy SE, Atlanta, GA 30339, (770) 952-7900. Thirty rooms reserved for State Championship players from May 2 through May 4 at the rate of $85.00 USD per night. The last day to book is by 4/11/14.

Meeting: GCA general membership meeting at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 4. Election for 1st VP & 1st Member-at-Large.
