Georgia Senior Open

(GA Women’s Open & Collegiate Open 
will be running concurrently)


Who:  Open to all players 50 years or over on 

              Sept. 28, 2013.


Format:    4-SS, G/100 (+30) - 100 minutes per player plus a 30 sec per move time increment


Sections:    Open, U1800, Unrated (players will be rated after this event)


*players may play up a section if published 

rating is within 100 points of that section* 

(current rating may be considered by the TD)


Prizes:

 (based upon 20 entries).  Prize money will be mailed out or sent via paypal after the event, not paid out on-site.


Open ($500*)-$135-$65

U1800/Unrated $135-$65-$45


Open: Top Georgia resident will receive a $500 stipend to represent Georgia at the 2014 US Senior Open and free entry in the Georgia State Championship in May.  If non-resident wins then he/she receives the 2nd place prize.


Entry fee:  $45 if rec'vd by September 26, or $50 on site. On-site registration 10:30- 11:30 a.m.  (cash or credit, no checks on-site) 

                     

Rounds: 12pm - 5:30pm (Sat) 

                    10am - 3:30pm (Sun) 


Byes:   One ½ point bye available any round. Must commit when entering. No changes.


Food:    Plenty of food options and other 

                 diversions in and around the mall. 

                WiFi is available at the Food Court.

Please note: USCF membership required for all players. GCA membership required for GA residents.
All equipment supplied.  Players may use their own; however any clock used must have time increment capability and the player providing it must know how to set this function.  The first part of Rule 15C will not be in effect - a player in time pressure must still keep score.
