Desc: Date/Time: May 25th, 9:00am Location: Creekside Christian Academy - 2455 Mt Carmel Rd, Hampton, GA 30228 On May 25th, there will be a USCF rated tournament hosted by Southside Atlanta Chess Club at Creekside Christian Academy. The tournament will consist of four rounds of G/60;d5 (sixty minutes per side, five second delay). The schedule is: Round one: 9:00 Round two: 11:15 Round three: 2:00 Round four: 4:15 There are three rated sections: Open, U1600, and U1000, as well as a non-USCF rated section. IF YOU HAVE A USCF ACCOUNT BUT HAVEN’T PLAYED IN A TOURNAMENT, YOU ARE CONSIDERED “RATED.” Registration is $25 until May 1st, $30 until May 22nd, and $40 until May 25th. $50 onsite registration is accepted until 8:45am. Any registrations after this time will have to take a zero point bye for the first round. Half-point byes are available for each round upon request. Please bring boards and clocks. Prizes are as follows: Open: 1st - $100, 2nd - $50 U1600: 1st - $70, 2nd - $35 U1000: 1st - $50, 2nd - $25 non-USCF: 1st - $25 (Or 1st - 40% and 2nd - 20% of registration per section, whichever is higher) There will also be a trophy for the first place in every section.ONLINE REGISTRATION HERE FOR RATED OPEN/U1600/U1000&non-USCF(UNRATED)

Georgia Chess Association is offering the least expensive way to join the United States Chess Federation! Scholastic memberships are $20 when purchased directly from USCF, but we’ve used our bulk rate to get the prices down to $10. Scholastic memberships are valid for players under 21 years of age.
Each membership is good for 12 months from the time of the activation. USCF memberships are required to participate in USCF rated tournaments.
