Three sections: CHAMPIONSHIP (1600+): Open to USCF rated 1600 and above. 1st — $400 2nd — $200 Top Under 1800 — $50 RESERVE (U1600): Open to USCF rated between 1000 and 1599. 1st — $200 2nd — $100 Top Under 1300 — $50 BOOSTER (U1000): Open to USCF rated under 1000 and unrated. 1st — $100 (+trophy) 2nd — $50 Top U700/Unrated — $50 One “special” Top Senior (age 50+) prize awarded: $50.
All players’ official ratings will be used per the USCF rating supplement for the tournament month. Section will be assigned based on player’s rating. Players may play up if rating within 100 points of the section requirement. Sections may be combined at TD discretion. Prizes based on 50 registrations. Class prizes based on ratings as described above. Unrated players eligible only for place prizes.
Time Control: G/60; inc. 5; USCF dual rated (regular and quick rated). Entry Fee: $50.00 if pre-registered; $55.00 at the site. Free entry for FMs, IMs, GMs – entry fees deducted from prizes. The field is limited to the first 50 registrants. Schedule: On-site registration ends at 9:40 am. All players, including pre-registrants, please check in by 9:45 am; please call/text if going to be late. Rounds: 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:30 pm, 6:00 pm. 1/2-Pt. Byes: Available, limit two. Must request 1/2-point byes before round 1 begins. 0-point byes available at any time for any round.
