This is a 2-section, 4-round USCF-rated Swiss tournament, with Time Control G/45;+5; 80% of entry fees returned as cash prizes. Rounds: 10:00 am; 12 noon; 2:00 pm; 4:00 pm or as soon as possible Players Rated 2200+: Free Entry ($30 EF deducted from Prize) Championship Section (1300+ USCF): Prizes to 1st (35%) & 2nd (15%) Place Finishers Reserve Section (U1300 USCF): Prizes to 1st (20%) & 2nd (10%) Place Finishers Championship Trophies awarded to winners of Championship and Reserve Sections. (Trophy qualifier : Club Championship trophies will be awarded to players who have played three or more USCF-rated tournaments at the Winterville Chess Club.) A separate $50 prize will be awarded to the Top Senior (Age 50+) Distribution of Prizes: No player can win more than one cash prize. Special Note: Registration is limited to the first 40 players.
Note: Bring chess sets and clocks as the club has a limited number of chess sets. USCF membership is required.

Georgia Chess Association offers the least expensive way to join the United States Chess Federation! Scholastic memberships are $20 when purchased directly from USCF, but we’ve used our bulk rate to get the prices down to $10. Scholastic memberships are valid for players under 21 years of age.
Each membership is good for 12 months from the time of the activation. USCF memberships are required to participate in USCF rated tournaments.
