Fall Solarium Beginner Nonrated Pizza Chess Tournament Sunday, November 13, 12:30-5:00pm Space is limited, register early The Solarium 319 W Hill St, Decatur, GA 30030 Open to any player, K-12 Note: We expect a special section for K-2 Players Tournament: 12:30–5:00pm. Check in, instruction and review of rules between 12:30 and 1:00pm. Rounds begin at 1:00pm. Quick Pairings. Games end at 5:00pm. Mid-Tournament Pizza Break. SECTIONS to be determined by age and experience at the tournament. Registration Fee: $25.00 before November 6, 8PM. Then, $30 through November 10, 8PM; and, then $35 until November 12, 8PM. No Day-of or Onsite Registration. Pizza included with fee. No memberships required. Trophies to all players with a plus score. Players must play at least 6 games to earn a trophy. Registration/Payment: Online at www.championshipchess.net; Click Register: Tournament Rules: Touch move/touch capture rule will be enforced. Also no discussion of another ongoing game. Raise hands for questions. Players are not eliminated due to losing a game. Rounds: Quick Pairings: players will be matched appropriately after each game is completed. We expect every player to complete at least 6 games. This is a beginner tournament so clocks and notation are not used. We will cancel or adjudicate games played slowly.
