2018 Georgia Class Championship

2-day schedule: Saturday: 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Sunday 10:00 a.m., 3:15 p.m.
November 16 - 18 or November 17 - 18.

Who: All USCF members. Georgia residents require GCA memberships. Special: 2-years for the prize of one!
Format: 5-SS. Time Control: Premier: 40/90, SD/30, d10. Other classes: G/120, d5. All, 2-day 1st round G/90, d5.
Prizes & Sections: $4,250 based on 100 entries.
Premier (2000 and above): $500-300-200, under 2200- $300-200.
Class A (1800-1999): $350-200.
Class B (1600-1799): $350-200.
Class C (1400-1599): $350-200.
Class D (1200-1399): $350-200.
Class E (1000-1199): $350-200.
U1000/Unrated: Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th place.
* Trophy to Top Georgia resident each section.
As we are determining the Class Champion for this season, players must play within their class (Official Nov. published rating used). If a players current unpublished rating would place that player within a higher section, the player will be allowed to play in that higher section on request. Requests must be made before round 1 pairings. Any player with a FIDE or Foreign rating but no USCF will be placed accordingly (case by
case basis).
Entry Fee: $69 by November 15th by 6 p.m., $75 on-site. Free entry to GM, WGM, IM, WIM. $50 deducted from prizes. U/1000/Unrated section $30 by November 15th by 6 p.m.; $35 on-site.
Registration cap is 110.
On site registration:
Nov. 16th (Friday) 5:30 - 7 p.m. for 3-day.
Nov. 17th (Saturday 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. for 2-day.
We highly recommend registering online. Full refund for cancellations if made in email by 6:30 p.m. Friday for 3-day and 9:30 a.m. for 2-day.

Byes: Two 1/2- point byes available Must declare 1/2- point byes when entering and no changes permitted after commencement of Round 1.
Electronic communication devices will be allowed in playing room. However, these devices must be stored in the player's equipment bags or other means of storage as approved by Director and the device must be turned off!
