Georgia Chess Club Tournaments:
The Georgia Chess Club (GCC) holds more rated tournaments in the State of Georgia than any other Affiliate of the United States Chess Federation. The GCC currently has tournament sites in the Atlanta Metro Area, with locations in Alpharetta, Cumming and Johns Creek. We pride ourselves on having our events in a venue that is quite and comfortable for both players and spectators.
2016 Georgia Senior Open - Alpharetta Tournament Venue
The photo below is the spectator and skittles area of the tournament in Alpharetta. Enjoy free WIFI, coffee or hot chocolate while you review games or simply watch TV on one of the large flat panel TV’s at this venue. The Georgian Room, quiet and conducive for playing, serves as our tournament hall. It can comfortably accommodate up to 80 players. We host our weekly “Friday Knight Face Off” tournaments at this location in addition to other special events such as the 2016 Georgia Senior Open!
