5-SS, 6 Sections. Grand Prix Points: 20

$8,000 b/120.

Master/Expert (FIDE-rated): Open to FIDE or USCF-rated 2000 and Above. $1600-800, Top Under 2200 $700.

Class “A:” Open to USCF-rated 1800 thru 1999. $1100-550.

Class “B:” Open to USCF-rated 1600 thru 1799. $900-450.

Class “C:” Open to USCF-rated 1400 thru 1599 and Unrated. $700-350.

Class “D:” Open to USCF-rated Under 1399 and Unrated. $500-250.

Class “E:” Open to USCF-rated Under 1200 and Unrated.


Trophies: 1st thru 3rd places; Under 900, 1st thru 3rd places; Under 700, 1st thru 3rd places; Top Unrated. Unrated players eligible for “1st thru 3rd Place” and “Top Unrated” trophies only.

All: (Awarding of Prizes): If any post-event rating published between Sep. 1, 2022 thru

Sep. 30, 2023 was more than 50 points above the section rating maximum, the prize limit is $200. Balance of any limited prize(s) goes to the next player(s) in line.


All sections: Players (rated 1000 thru 1999) should enter the Class per their “Official Rating,” but may elect to enter the next higher Class. All player’s “Official Rating” is per the USCF October 2023 Rating Supplement. Players (rated 1000 thru 1999) may elect to enter any higher Class provided player’s “live” rating qualifies their entry into the higher Class.


Entry Fee (Class “D” thru “Master/Expert”): $100 for GCA members, $105 for non-Georgia residents, if received by Oct.12; $110 at site. (W)IGM, (W)IM Free ($50 deducted from cash prizes won). Class “E” and Unrated: $50, if received by Oct. 12; $60 at site.

Re-Entry: $50 (Not available in “Master/Expert” section).


3-Day Schedule: Reg. ends Fri 7:00pm. Rds. Fri 7:30pm; Sat 2:30pm & 7:30pm; Sun 10:00am & 3:00pm.


2-Day Schedule: Reg. ends Sat 9:30am. Rds. Sat 10:00am, 2:30pm & 7:30pm; Sun 10:00am & 3:00pm. Sat 10:00am round is not “FIDE-rated.”


Time controls: All Rds. “G/90, inc. 30” except Sat, 10:00am Rd. is “G/60, inc. 30.”

1/2-Pt. Byes: Available for all rounds (limit two) – all 1/2-Pt. Byes must be requested before the close of registration. 0-Pt. Byes for any round may be requested at any time.


”Do Not Pair” option: Immediate family members may request to not be paired (Rds. 1 thru 4 only). Option must be requested before the close of registration (Not available in “Master/Expert” section).


Players Must Bring Clocks – Sets And Boards Are Supplied By The Georgia Chess

Association. Georgia Residents: GCA membership required.
