Chess2Children is pleased to sponsor the
2nd Annual Chess Tournament
on Sunday, April 28th in Atlanta, GA!
This will be USCF Rated* Chess Tournament, with many local children from the Smyrna, Vinings, Marietta, Atlanta and surrounding area. This tournament will give your children the opportunity to showcase their learnings over the past years in a fun environment with many of their friends, neighbors, and classmates.
Sections: K-1 USCF Rated / K-3 USCF Rated / K-5 USCF Rated / 6-8 USCF Rated / K-8 Unrated (If we do not have enough enrollment for a particular section, we will combine sections)
Time Control: 30 minutes per player. Clocks will not be required, but if you have one, please bring it.
Rounds/Time: 4 rounds. 1st Round starts at 12:30 (please arrive between 12 and 12:15 to register). Rounds 2 – 4 will begin once the other rounds are completed (anticipate 1:45, 3:00, and 4:15, but we will start earlier if rounds are completed).
Award ceremony directly following last round (Awards for everybody and trophies for 2.5 or higher score).

info@chess2children and include your child’s name, grade, school, USCF ID# and section desired. Please register by April 25th .
$20 entry fee (made out to Chess2Children) may be mailed to: PO Box 673962, Marietta, GA 30006 or paid upon arrival.
Misc: We hope to have food/drinks for sale and we will provide some treats to the children, but you should plan on packing them snacks. Parking is available. Parent waiting area will be “tight”, so please try to carpool if you can.
*Rated tournaments require a US Chess Federation ID#. If you would like your child to have a chess rating, please register your child at
www.uschess.org , click the join/renew button at the top and sign your child (or family) up. ID#’s will be provided immediately online.
