Who: Open to all players 50+ yrs. Only Georgia residents are eligible to win prizes. 

Where: North DeKalb Mall, (space #4003) 2050 Lawrenceville Hwy, Decatur, GA 30033 

When: Saturday-Sunday, October 20-21, 2012

Format: 4-SS, G/100(+30) : 100 min per player plus 30 sec per move time increment

Sections: Open, Under 1800, Unrated 

Prizes: Open - Winner receives a trophy and $500 stipend to represent Georgia at the 2013 US Senior Open on May 28-June 2, 2013 in Tarrytown, NY or free entry to 2 GCA tournaments of their choice within one year.  U1800/Unrated - Trophy.  Trophies awarded to Top GA Resident age 60 and Top Georgia Resident age 70+ in each section.

 Entry fee: $30 if received by October 19th. On site registration $45 (cash or credit).

Registration:  Mail advance entries to: GCA, P.O. Box 2584, Suwanee, GA 30024. On-line entries at  www.georgiachess.org.
On site registration: 10:30 am -11:30 am on Saturday. 

Rounds: 12:00 pm & 5:30 pm on Saturday; 10:00 am & 3:30 pm on Sunday.  One ½ point bye available any round. Must commit when entering. No changes.

Activities:  WiFi is available at the Food Court.

Please note: USCF membership required for all players. GCA membership required for GA residents.  All equipment supplied. Players may use theirs; however, any clock used must have time increment capability, and the player providing it must know how to set this function.

The first part of Rule 15C will not be in effect – a player in time pressure must still keep score.
