When: Saturday October 24 from 10 AM to 6 PM

Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) is a 34 year old non-profit 501c (3) organization which represents the Indian Telugu community in Atlanta. We conduct many community events including cultural, community outreach, assisting community members in times of need and many more.

We run a school for children which teach them Telugu. Most of the children who learn this do benefit from learning at least two languages, English at school and Telugu here. We also run a free clinic for any needy member who requires medical assistance.

Our membership consists of a diversified group which includes Doctors, Engineers, Information Technology consultants as well as Entrepreneurs who run restaurants, gas stations as well as convenience stores.


Format: 4 round, Swiss-Style tournament in four sections,


Who: open to all Georgia students in grades K-12.  Parents and friends welcome to compete in the open section with USCF membership.  Prizes reserved for scholastic players.


Sections: Open, Under 1200, Under 600 and Unrated.  Players rated 1200 and above may only play in the open section, but others may in the open section if they wish stronger competition.


Time Control: G/30;d5 with last round of G45;d5 in Open section.


Entry fee: $20

Rounds: 10:30, 12:30, 2:00 and 3:30.  Awards presented at 5 PM
