Who: Open to all players 50 years or over during 2015.
Format: All sections 4-SS, G/100 inc 30 – (100 minutes plus a 30 second per move time increment)
Sections: Championship (rated section), Non-rated (rated and non-rated players may play, games will not be rated after this event. Players will be asked for USCF ID and ratings for seeding purposes)
Prizes: (based on 13 entries). Prize money will be paid on-site, or by PayPal.
Championship: ($300)-$90-$60, or 70% of registered players, whichever is higher - Top Georgia Senior will receive free entry in the 2016 Georgia State Championship and a plaque.
U1800/Unrated: $80-$60, or 70% of registered players, whichever is higher
Non-rated: Plaques for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.
Entry fee: $49 if received by September 23, or $60 on-site. Non-rated: $39 by September 23, $50 on-site. Free for GM/IM/WGM/WIM. On-site registration 10:30- 11:30 a.m. (cash or credit)
Rounds: 12pm - 5:30pm, Sun: 10am - 3:30pm
Byes: One 1⁄2 point bye available any round if requested before tournament starts. Zero point byes are available once tournament begins.
Please note: USCF membership required for players of rated section. GCA membership required for GA residents.
All equipment supplied. Players may use their own; however any clock used must have time increment capability and the player providing it must know how to set this function. The first part of Rule 15C will not be in effect - a player in time pressure must still keep score.
DGT Boards will be used (a maximum of 6 boards,) to record games and broadcast them on the internet!
